2013 Technologies breakthroughs to watch for in 2014

We have seen and also experienced many breakthroghs in technologies like smartphones, cloud computing and other innovations. Lets have a look at few of the most promising technologies that will impact our daily life in this new year.

1) 3D Printing: Lots have been coming up on the internet about 3D Printers. But for those who dont know what 3D printing is take a look at the below video to see this promising technology.

Or Just google 3D Printers and you will get loads of what's happening in the world with 3D Printing.

2) Google Driverless Car: All the next generation technology fantasies we saw in hollywood movies are converting into reality. Now with Driverless Cars you can just sit and relax while the car automatically steers you through the traffic and gets you safe to your destinations. There are many places in US and UK where this technology is being encouraged. Watch the video below to check this out.

3) Drone Delivery System: We all now use online shopping portals to buy stuff. But it takes a minimum of 2 days to get the goods delivered to our doorstep. Imagine what if we order online a pair of shoes/clothes and they are dropped at our doorstep in 30 minutes. Isn't it amazing. Yes "Amazon" a leader in online retailing is just doing that. They are testing the delivery system through Drones. When you place an order at Amazon the product is tagged to a Drone and it flies and delivers your goods in no time. Check out the below video.

4) Wearable TECH (Google Glasses) : Technology is always with you. Its not just a smartphone you carry in pockets now its also the products like Google Glasses and Samsung Smartwatch. We were surprised when Google revealed its ambitious project of Google Glass. Its a wearable computer with an optical head-mounted display (OHMD) that is being developed by Google. Google Glass uses a miniature display to put data in frontof your vision courtesy of a prism screen. It can display maps, directions, emails, texts, news and also there was news that there is an app in the making which can take photos on a blink of eye. The initial price of the glasses is around 1500$ for the lucky participants who are testing the glasses right now, but its gonna be different might be cheaper when it actually hits the store.

Well there are many other things in the smartphone and internet industry but these were the one's I am gonna watch closely.

Wishing you all a very happy New Year 2014.
